Yantai is the birthplace of Chinese wine industry and the only“International Vine and Wine City ”awarded by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) in Asia. Yantai currently has more than 160 wine production companies, with a wine production of 2,530,000 hectoliter in 2018, achieving an output value of 15.67 billion yuan, accounting for 40.22% and 54.32% of the national total respectively. As a traditional characteristic industry of Yantai, its wine production  occupies an important position in the Chinese wine industry.

烟台欲制定《烟台葡萄酒产区保护条例》

占中国葡萄酒产量四成以上的山东省烟台市将严格产区葡萄保护。1月12日上午，烟台市十七届人大四次会议举行第二次全体会议，华夏酒报记者此间获悉，烟台市人大常委会将制定《烟台葡萄酒产区保护条例》，以发展壮大这个百年之久葡萄酒产业。

烟台是中国葡萄酒的发祥地，也是国际葡萄与葡萄酒组织（OIV）授予亚洲唯一的国际葡萄·葡萄酒城，据华夏酒报记者掌握的权威数据，烟台市目前拥有160余家葡萄酒生产企业，2018年葡萄酒产量25.3万千升，实现主营业务收入156.71亿元，分别占全国总量的40.22%、54.32%。葡萄酒作为烟台的传统特色产业在中国葡萄酒产业当中占有重要地位。（华夏酒报融媒体团队 发自山东烟台）
