Changyu aids coronavirus control
Changyu, the oldest and largest wine producer in China, is sourcing 200,000 masks and 20,000 medical protective clothing from overseas, as well as other medical supplies through its local and overseas customers and partners in support of coronavirus control.
Yantai is the only Asian city named "International Vine & Wine City" by OIV. The city became the birthplace of China's wine industry after Changyu Pioneer Wine Company Ltd, China's first winery, was set up there in 1892. There are more than 160 wineries in Yantai. 2018 they had an output of 2,530,000 hectoliters (40.22% of the countries total), and sale revenue of 15.671 billion yuan (54.32% of the countries total). With wine as its traditional characteristic industry, Yantai occupies an important position in the Chinese wine industry.
Up to now, Changyu has implemented a purchase plan of 120,000 masks from local enterprises, with 44,200 of which is in place. In addition, the company is arranging a procurement plan for medical supplies from outside the city, including a 15-ton disinfectant, 30 infrared thermal imaging camera, as well as 200 handheld thermometers. Apart from these, it is actively sourcing medical materials from other countries. 1 million masks from South Korea are expected to arrive in the coming days.
