While the world is coloured orange for Halloween, orange wine is on everyone’s mind in Shanghai as the one-week countdown to Shanghai’s inaugural “Skin-2-Skin: Orange Wine Symposium” is on.
To mark the one-week countdown, organisers have announced the full 24-strong wine list to be featured in the landmark half-day symposium, of which 22 will be tasted during the sit-down global comparative tasting – Session 3 of this high-anticipated symposium exploring the world’s newest official category of wine-White Wine with Skin Maceration.
The entire sit-down symposium-style event, comprising four hours spanning three sessions, from 13:30 to 17:30, will feature 24 wines from 11 countries.
The event will see these wines presented by, debated and discussed by experts from several sectors. A total of 18 speakers will join the event, including the Georgian Government’s Minister for Environment Protection & Agriculture; seven international winemakers (hailing from Georgia, Austria, Slovenia and China); three international winery representatives (Georgia, Austria and Italy); two Masters of Wine; and several experts from the Chinese wine industry.
