In recent days, 110 cases of wine from six categories, including Pinot Noir, Syrah and Chardonnay, produced by Hedong Manor, a wine producing area at the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia, have been officially sent to Hong Kong through the customs clearance of Yinchuan Comprehensive Protection Zone, achieving a new breakthrough in Ningxia wine planting and production at the origin + customs clearance of comprehensive protection zone.

This is not Ningxia's first wine export this year. With the diversification of export forms, Ningxia wine is increasingly well-known in overseas markets. At the beginning of July, 50 cases of Little Munson's precious sweet white and 120 cases of positive Blue Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon dry red were released by customs and appeared in the Singapore and Macau consumer markets.

According to Tan Haijia, sales director of Wacom Winery, during the 2024 Bordeaux Wine Festival in France at the end of June, the wines of the winery, such as small Munsen Guiyu Sweet White and Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon dry red, had a unique taste and were recognized by many merchants during the exhibition. After returning from the event, as soon as his plane landed, he received orders from wine collectors in Australia and merchants in Singapore, and said that he would become a long-term supply and marketing partner.

Wine, as a unique IP at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain, is also one of the "six special" industries in Ningxia. The wines of more than 60 wineries have won more than 1,700 awards in international competitions such as Decanter, Brussels and Berlin, accounting for more than 60% of the total number of awards in the country. It has become the language of Ningxia dialogue with the world and the purple link of the world perception of Ningxia. Up to now, Ningxia wine has been sold to more than 40 countries, from the former mainly covering the Southeast Asian market, gradually expanded to France, Australia, Switzerland and other traditional wine markets.

The road of internationalization of Ningxia wine has never stopped. Previously, the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and the Sino-French Culture and Art Research Center, Peking University and other institutions jointly established the Sino-French Wine School, France in the variety introduction, technical cooperation, personnel training and other aspects of the cooperation with Ningxia has gradually strengthened.

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, on behalf of the Chinese government, officially submitted the application for membership to the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) through the Chinese Embassy in France, and has now entered the stage of substantive collection of views from member states. China is expected to become the 51st full member of the OIV at its 100th anniversary celebration in November. Under this opportunity, Ningxia will make every effort to promote domestic wine quality standards and testing technology to be in line with international standards.
