On August 29, the Ministry of Commerce of China issued the annual Announcement No. 35, announcing the preliminary ruling on the anti-dumping investigation of imported related brandy originating in the European Union, ruling that there is dumping of imported related brandy originating in the European Union, the domestic related brandy industry is threatened with material injury, and there is a causal relationship between dumping and the threat of material injury. The margin of dumping found in the preliminary determination was 30.6% to 39.0%.
In response to the application of the relevant domestic brandy industry, the Ministry of Commerce issued a notice on January 5, 2024, deciding to launch an anti-dumping investigation on the import of related brandy originating in the European Union. After filing the case, the Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation in strict accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of China and the relevant rules of the WTO, and made the above positive preliminary ruling on the basis of preliminary investigation.
This product belongs to the import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China: 22082000. Spirits made from distilled wines in containers of 200 litres or more under the tariff code are excluded from the scope of this survey. No provisional anti-dumping measures will be taken in this case.
