When millennia-old wine traditions meet digital technology, a profound dialogue between heritage and modernity unfolds. 

On March 23, 2025, the China Wine Industry AI Cultural and Creative Conference** was grandly held at the Chengdu City Celebrity Hotel. Hosted by *Huaxia Wine News* and the Huayin Brand Cultural and Creative Research Institute, and organized by Beijing Huaxia Wine News Times Cultural Media Co., Ltd., the event was co-sponsored by Zhang Zhiyun Wine Group and Huayin International Creative Industry Group. 

Can AI truly disrupt the traditional landscape of China’s wine industry? When algorithms can precisely predict the flavor of every drop of wine, will the craftsmanship of master brewers be replaced by data? Under AI’s influence, will traditional wine culture be consumed by modern consumerism, or find new avenues of expression? If machines can brew "perfect" wine, can humans still seek poetic imperfection in their drinks? These sharp questions were raised and debated at the conference. 

In a sense, this conference was not merely a fusion of technology and culture, but a profound reflection on the future of China’s wine industry. 

 AI Will Reshape the Baijiu Industry: "High EQ" Enterprises Thrive, "Low EQ" Ones Vanish

 In this new era where technology and humanity intertwine, AI is no longer just cold algorithms and data, but a vital vehicle for inheriting and innovating China’s wine culture. From intelligent upgrades in brewing techniques to digital transformations in brand marketing, AI is reshaping the DNA of China’s wine industry, ushering in a "Smart Brewing" era. 

 Professor Xu Yan, former Vice President of Jiangnan University and doctoral supervisor, stated in his speech that the conference, themed *"Ultimate Craftsmanship, Beautiful China"*, not only responds to the global wave of technological innovation but also explores pathways for the high-quality development of China’s wine industry. As the most cross-disciplinary and innovative event in the sector, its convening marks the industry’s official entry into a new era driven by "AI + Cultural Creativity." This will inject fresh momentum into industrial transformation and carve innovative pathways for Chinese wine culture to globalize. It is, he emphasized, a milestone of historic significance. 

 How should China’s wine industry embrace AI? Professor Xu proposed three initiatives: 

1. Establish a"China Wine Industry AI Innovation Alliance"** to foster collaboration and lower barriers to digital transformation for SMEs. 

2. Launch a "Chinese Wine Culture Gene Bank Project"**, using AI to systematically decode brewing techniques, historical texts, and artistic IPs, building the world’s largest digital asset platform for wine culture. 

3. Reform education models to cultivate interdisciplinary talent, integrating brewing expertise, AI technology, and cultural creativity to develop a workforce for the future. 

 Li Houqiang, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government Decision-Making Advisory Committee, and Professor at the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a keynote speech titled *"The Impact of AI on China’s Wine Industry."* He bluntly noted that AI will reshuffle the baijiu industry, where **"EQ (Emotional Quotient) now outweighs IQ (Intelligence Quotient)"**. Enterprises with "high EQ" will thrive, those with "medium EQ" will struggle, and those with "low EQ" will vanish. 

 AI is the pole vault propelling Chinese baijiu over cyclical challenges and a powerful tool for achieving growth through major adjustments," Li asserted. AI is driving the industry’s leap from "experience-driven" to "intelligence-driven," restructuring production, R&D, marketing, and supply chains. As AI evolves and scenario-based consumption deepens, the sector will witness a dual elevation of "technology + culture," becoming a benchmark for traditional industries undergoing digital transformation. This will enhance efficiency, product quality, and accelerate AI-driven industrial upgrades.
